Contentedness is an interesting emotion. Depending on whether you are optimistic or pessimistic in nature, you might look at the word in a different light.

The pessimistic reading is that to be content is to settle. That there are greater things out there and you are just…

Sarah often pulls recipes from Tik-Tok. This is a fact with which I have simply had to come to terms. I myself am not a Tik-Tok user. I don’t fully grasp it. But Sarah loves it, and she keeps finding great recipes. That’s a win-win, I’d say!

We usually try to make new recipes for Cooking With Sarah each week. The idea is to branch out and try new things. This world is such a big place, and there are so many wonderful tastes out there. Food from different cultures. Food with a taste…

We love our house. We adore it. But just because you love something doesn’t mean you keep it the same. You work at it. You grow. You adapt. Sometimes that involves change.

This was the day that change came for our living room.

We found ourselves on a Sunday, once again, looking for a recipe to make. Sometimes the ideas seem to come freely. Other times, they take a bit to form. We always start from one of two places. We can either make something with what we already have…

Sarah is an absolute wonder. I know, as her husband, it’s kind of assumed that I’d say things like that — but it’s the truth. There are many reasons to come to such a conclusion. She has the keenest sense of discernment of anyone I’ve ever met…

Sarah has this saying about home improvements she wants to do around the house. It’s that — every time she brings up a project — I think it won’t make an impact. Then, once it’s done, I always realize how good of a change it was.

The ones that our disconnected, virtual environments did not allow us to share with the people we otherwise would have.

As I share my yearly recap of the books I read, I’d like to say that reading was an oasis for me in the hard times that came in 2020. Sometimes, it was. But there were also large…
